Join our team for the FY2025 Computer Upgrade Initiative. This role involves setting up and maintaining PCs and laptops across offices.
Key Duties:
- Set up and customize new computers
- Install City-specific software
- Verify proper setup before and after installation
- Provide on-site tech support
- Assist with daily IT issues and project-related queries
- Fix hardware and software problems
- Update project teams on progress
- Keep detailed records of IT requests and solutions
- Manage user accounts and permissions
- Use IT management tools to track assets
- Liaise with vendors and other tech staff
- Train non-tech staff and guide interns
Must-Have Skills:
- 1+ year in IT support, including hardware, software, and networking
- Strong problem-solving and people skills
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
- Proficient with computer setup and software deployment
- Experienced in tech support best practices
- Skilled in diagnosing PC issues
- Basic network troubleshooting knowledge
Nice-to-Have:
- In-depth PC hardware and software expertise
- A+ Certification
- Previous helpdesk experience
